Anyone who wishes to go to the USA for visitors purposes must have a non immigrant visa that is known as non immigrants visitors visa. The visitor's visa is for the purpose of tourism and business. The visitor's visa is divided into two types, B-1 and B-2 visas. The B-1 visa is given for temporary business purposes and the B-2 visa is given for the purpose of tourism. If someone goes to the USA with both the purposes then he is issued a combination of both the visas, that is (B-1/B-2) visa. The visitors who wish to go to the USA must determine their type of visa according to their need.
B-1 and B-2 Visa.
The B-1 Visa is strictly for the purpose of business travel, if someone wants to consult with any associate or to sell/ settle any estate in the USA, or manage any contract.
The B-2 Visa is for the purpose of tourism only. If anyone wants to visit some relatives place, or wants to spend their vacation then B-2 Visa will suffice the purpose. People who go to the USA for medical purposes may also take shelter under this visa category. Things can’t be done on Visitors Visa
The US visas are categorised and issued on the basis of work one has in the USA. There are few things that can’t be done on a visitor's visa. If anyone has gone in USA on visitors visa then:
- a) He can’t Study in USA
- b) He can’t accept any employment in USA
- c) He can’t do any programme or performance for which he is paid.
- d) He can’t have permanent residence in the USA.
- e) He can’t arrive on any ship or aircraft as a crewmember.
The visitor's visa will not be issued for the purpose of birth tourism. Birth tourism is defined as a visit to the USA with the purpose of giving birth to children in order to get that children citizenship of the USA. This birth tourism is not allowed on a Visitors Visa.
